First of all, let me apologize for the long interlude between posts - I just moved to Southern California this last month, and it has been crazy to say the least.

This may be my last post, either for just or while or because I have another idea for a different project. I am thinking it is going to be hard to top this last set of JD:)

Included in this post are both digital shots and film, the ones with the green background are film, any others are digital.

The digital ones are really special indeed - when JD I talked after his surgery about the shoot, he was all game for full body shots that included his prosthesis, we felt that you all might think it special as well.

I hope you all have enjoyed this project, I sure have - it will undoubtedly be a special memory that I am glad to have shared with you all.

JD Avila ladies and gentlemen - the guy who's hair inspired this whole thing...

It is rare you come across curls like these... his curls have curls, in fact I almost called this post Lion King cause of that mane.

I have been so excited for this shoot, it has been a while coming...For those of you that didn't see my earlier post, JD has been in the process of recovering from a brutal motorcycle accident that occurred just a few weeks ago. His heart, perseverance, and vision throughout the experience has been more than inspiring to all that have walked beside him through it.

This shoot is a special one for me, not only is he a dear friend that has gone through so much, but my roommate as well - and it is just this next week that we will be parting ways as I move to Los Angeles.

I am so proud of this guy and am privileged to add his mane to the project.

Ook ok so before I go any further...the cigarette was for effect only, JD or I are not encouraging the use of cigarettes, so as you enjoy this next B&W set - keep that in mind;)
